Carving a premium footprint on Jeddah's hospitality map, the Swiss Hotel required a seamless integration of comfort, safety, and energy performance. GIC's teams coordinated with architects and interior designers to conceal services behind high‑end finishes while maintaining maintainability and access. The three‑year program concluded with full commissioning ahead of the hotel's soft‑opening schedule.
MEP Schedule: 15 Aug 2018 to 30 May 2022
Spanning four years, GIC's work at Jeddah Gate demanded tight coordination between multiple tower contractors and the master developer. The team installed kilometres of chilled‑water piping and electrical bus‑ducts while phasing construction to ensure early retail openings. Rigorous QA/QC procedures earned GIC commendations for maintaining zero lost‑time incidents over more than one million man‑hours.
MEP Schedule: 01 Jun 2022 to 30 Jul 2023
GIC mobilised immediately after shell‑and‑core hand‑over, phasing the MEP works floor‑by‑floor to keep up with a fast‑track fit‑out program. The team employed BIM clash‑detection to align HVAC, plumbing, and low‑current pathways in tight ceiling voids, eliminating re‑work and preserving the hotel's opening date for the 2023 summer tourism season.
